‘Rhino’ captures this gentle giant at a daily visit to a watering hole when he is most vulnerable to human poaching. If any piece of Sadie Aucott’s wire art is successful in persuading a viewer to start seeing animals as sentient beings, and treat them accordingly, then Sadie considers she has achieved her goal.

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
Sadie Aucott has developed a system of working with fine gauge florists binding wire in order to create monochrome 2D images which combine her love of drawing and animals. She is an exhibiting artist at Creates Gallery and Art Unlimited in Bridport, and has gone on to sell a number of wire art pieces and commissions. Sadie also participates in numerous respected art competitions including; 2018 Winner of the Innovation Award at the IN:SIGHT 2018 Exhibition Manchester, 2019 ‘Lion’ included in DSWF Wildlife Artist of the Year on-line exhibition, 2020 Winner of the Emerging Artist Award 2020 2D category at Creates Gallery Monmouth, 2022 Finalist in the DSWF Wildlife Artist of the Year competition, and 2023 Finalist in the DSWF Wildlife Artist of the Year competition.
