About the piece:
Scott says that he had always wanted to try his hand at painting feathers, and the stunningly vibrant colours of the Scarlet Macaw seemed the perfect opportunity. Additionally, as a pet portrait artist and only recently branching out into wildlife art, it gave him the opportunity to explore these animals and their natural behaviours in the wild as a new skill to capture in his paintings to add on extra layer of excitement. Unfortunately, due to deforestation and the exotic animal trade, more countries are starting to consider these beautiful birds as endangered.
