Postcard Original – Alex Fleming – Eye of the Tiger

Alex Fleming creates realistic art because he enjoys the challenge of it, and finds it very fulfilling to succeed in doing a subject justice as it stands. Alex might alter the odd thing in an artistic rendition, but it is always subtle, and rare. The real, natural world is immensely interesting to him already, so he leaves imagined alternatives to those more appreciative of them. Nature covers a gamut of size, colour, personality and beauty, and Alex feels this should be worthy of anyone’s attention. It is also constantly changing, largely for the worse, so he choses to donate a portion of all of his wildlife sales to animal charities.

Each year, the talented artists who take part in DSWF Wildlife Artist of the Year are invited to participate in #SketchForWildlife.

By painting or drawing a small image on a postcard it gives visitors to the online exhibition a chance to own a totally unique piece of work, by a highly sought after collection of artists.

The postcards have always been extremely popular and we hope you will support this initiative which allows more people to own a unique piece of original art, albeit on a slightly smaller scale. The subject and medium of the postcard was entirely up to the artist, with the subject matter being their own celebration of the natural world.

100% of the proceeds from this sale will support the charitable work of David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation (DSWF) and our ground-based conservation partners across Africa and Asia.
