Marie Antoniou – Banteng at Sunrise Original

£700

Medium: Acrylic on Canvas. Unframed Original

Dimensions: 61 x 76cm

The Banteng, also known as Tembadau, is a species of cattle found in Southeast Asia.   Today they are endangered across most of their home range but the Australian population is large, healthy and stable.

Marie is an artist and tutor who loves painting wildlife. Her style of painting is an impressionistic approach, exploring the subject through marks and colours. As well as exhibiting with galleries, she has been a finalist in the David Shepherd Wildlife artist of the year exhibition over the last eight years. Marie is also a contributing author on painting techniques for various art magazines and books.

Thanks to Marie, 50% of the net profits from the sale of this artwork will support DSWF’s work protecting endangered species across Africa and Asia.  As quoted by Marie:  “Supporting DSWF gives me the opportunity and confidence that my art will have a direct impact on protecting the wildlife I love to paint.”
