Tiger Day 2012!

Tiger Day 2012 was a fabulous success! It was held on the 30th September to celebrate Russia’s Tiger Day.

The event attracted hundreds of people and raised over £1,500! The most popular events were face painting and the cake stall. Our tiger wish tree also stood proud with wishes given online and on the day written on ribbons and hung from the tree. Plans are now afoot to celebrate tiger day again next year!

The money raised will make a huge difference to help us save the wild tiger through our tiger field projects in India, Russia and Thailand.

“The support we received for our first Tiger Day was amazing. It was great to see how enthusiastically the younger generation embraced the plight of the tiger and we hope that they will continue to support this amazing and critically endangered animal throughout their lives. It would be so sad to see it lost in their lifetimes,” said Tiger Day organizer and TigerTime Campaign Coordinator, Chantelle Henderson.

A HUGE thank you to everyone who came along on the day, donated prizes and to all the volunteers that made it such a great success!

If you weren’t able to attend on the day, please help us by signing www.bantigertrade.com and by donating here so that we can push out more money to specific field projects that will help save the last 3,200 wild tigers.
