‘HIPPIE’ BLIND DATE SWINGS £1,100 TO WILDLIFE CONSERVATION

Students from the MSc International Events Management course at Surrey University have raised over £1,100 for DSWF. The fundraising formed part of a module they had to complete which involved running an event and donating the proceeds to a charity.

“We organised an event called ‘Blind Date – back to the 60s’ with a hippie themed twist to the well-known TV show. Not only was it good fun but raising money for wildlife conservation was a real bonus,” explains student, Emilie Kwon.

“It’s great that they had fun while learning and raised this fabulous amount,” says DSWF’s Shauna Rees. “They can be assured that the money will be put to extremely good use as we continue our fight to protect endangered wildlife across Africa and Asia.”
