2017 Wildlife Artist of the Year People’s Choice Winner

This year’s unanimous People’s Choice winner selected at the Mall Galleries during our Wildlife Artist of the Year exhibition is ‘Her Pride’ by Danielle Fisher.

The beautiful composition of a mother lioness and her cubs in soft pastel stole the hearts of many of the visitors to the gallery this year and sold on the opening day.

Danielle is a 23 year old, self-taught professional pet portrait and wildlife artist living and working from her home in Berkshire. She specialises in soft pastel and prides herself on her realism and ability to achieve such fine detail. Her ambition is to become a full-time wildlife artist, travelling to different countries and finding inspiration from creatures in all four corners of the world.

“It was wonderful to be shortlisted for this year’s competition and winning the People’s Choice award made this year really special for me,” says Danielle.

There are still a selection of wonderful original artworks available to browse and buy from this year’s shortlist and the accompanying Bigger Picture exhibition so do have a look by clicking here

Thank you to all the artists who took part in this year’s competition and we look forward to welcoming you back in 2018. Entry re-opens this autumn.
