Introducing our new Conservation Ambassadors, who will be setting off on July 25th 2018 to ride across Zambia and Zimbabwe!
The Wild Ride Team, made up of South African Cricketer Jacques Rudolph, multi award winning mezzo soprano Laura Wright and Rugby player Harry Rowland, will be cycling from Zambia to Zimbabwe, led by DSWF education adviser, stopping off at DSWF project locations along the way.
The team aim to raise £75,000 to fund conservation work in three key ways:
- Community and education
- Rescue, rehabilitation and release of endangered wildlife
The Ride, starting at Game Rangers International Special Anti-Poaching unit at Hook Bridge in Zambia, will end at the Painted Dog Conservation project in Huwange National Park, Zimbabwe, covering a total of 650km in 9 days.
This is a huge challenge for the team to take on but provides an incredible opportunity for DSWF supporters and a wider audience to gain a better understand of the work being done on the ground to protect some of the world’s most iconic species.
Your donation will help DSWF to continue to fund critical work with the opportunity for individuals and corporates to partner with the team to make the 2018 wish list a reality.
