WHEN IS WORLD PANGOLIN DAY 2019?

Celebrated on the third Saturday in February – in 2019 World Pangolin Day will be on Saturday 16th February.

CELEBRATE PANGOLINS WITH US!

Did you know that the pangolin’s name has been derived from the Malay word ‘pengguling’ meaning ‘rolling up’? These animals can roll up into a tight ball as protection against predators. Their tongue can also extend to over 40cm and they can eat up to 70 million insects a year!

FUNDRAISING IDEAS FOR WORLD PANGOLIN DAY

At DSWF we love pangolins – join us in raising awareness and funds for these unique mammals!

  • Could you host a pangolin party with all foods beginning with P?
  • Sell pangolin shaped biscuits?
  • Collect coins to cover the scales on a pangolin picture?
  • Do some sponsored insect eating (of the jellied variety) just like a pangolin?
