Love and Protection

An exhibition and fund-raising auction of 49 embellished limited edition prints that have been created especially for this charity show.

All the prints have been embellished, drawn over with thousands of new pencil strokes, by the artist Gary Hodges to make each one unique. They bridge the gap perfectly between an original drawing and a print.

All are personally signed by the artist and co-signed by Virginia McKenna OBE and Rula Lenska to make them even more collectable.

The online auction is now open – to bid online for these unique Gary Hodges prints visit

On the evening of 21 July 2018, the private view/live auction of specially embellished prints will be conducted by BBC TVs award-winning auctioneer James Lewis at the world renowned Nature in Art, Europe’s first museum dedicated to art inspired by nature.

The host for the auction evening will be the acclaimed actor and conservationist Rula Lenska (Coronation Street filming schedules allowing).

A Magic Circle magician, an origami artist and more will be on hand to add to the evening’s entertainment.

Vegan prosecco/wine and vegetarian/vegan finger food will be served during the event.

Tickets are £20 per person or £30 for a couple. To secure your tickets for this special charity night telephone Emily on 01452 733942 or 01452 731422 or email

All proceeds will go toward six ground-breaking charities dedicated to conservation, animal welfare and the arts, of which DSWF is fortunate to be one.

Gary Hodges is the UK’s best selling and most collectable pencil artist, with three decades as a professional artist behind him. His many accolades include the ‘Oscars’ of the UK published art world, ‘Best selling Artist of the Year’ and ‘Best selling images by a living Artist’ (twice). Only the great David Shepherd and Jack Vettriano have also won those same three awards.
