Capture the artistic magic of Antarctica in art and photographs with Richard Symonds, Andy Rouse, Andrew James and Natural World Safaris

Date: November 17, 2017 – November 30, 2017

Location: Antarctic Peninsula

Type: Creative Discovery Expedition

Capture the artistic magic of Antarctica with internationally-renowned wildlife artist, Richard Symonds and bespoke travel outfitter Natural World Safaris. Join their unique expedition to Antarctica this November for the ultimate creative discovery of this fascinating continent, while raising money for the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation.

For each person who states they are a friend or supporter of the DSWF at the time of booking, NWS will make a donation in your name of £500.

This 13-day, adventure takes place from 17th to 30th November 2017, when Antarctica is at its most captivating.

Joining respected wildlife photographers Andy Rouse and Andrew James, Richard’s position as ‘artist in residence’ will see him offer guests guidance and tuition on drawing Antarctic wildlife in its natural habitat. Having travelled the world capturing incredible representations of animal life, Richard will share his experiences while instructing clients with tips, tricks and lessons. These complimentary wildlife photography and art workshops will equip travellers with the skills to capture their experiences on film and paper.

During the expedition, spend seven full days on the stabilised ship, the Akademik Ioffe, to explore one of the world’s last, truly wild frontiers. Follow the paths of European explorers of old through a landscape of sea-sculpted icebergs and crashing glaciers. Zodiac explorations will take guests even closer to the shore for intimate wildlife sightings.

Natural World Safaris offers this exclusive wildlife photography and art expedition in Antarctica from £6,500 per person sharing, excluding international flights.
